[美法合作 - 作品一號] 

Opus One 酒莊創立於 1978 年，由波爾多五大酒莊之一的 Mouton Rothschild 跟 Napa 的 Robert Mondavi 攜手合作成立。第一個年份1979是由Mouton釀酒師Lucien Sionneau和Robert Mondavi的兒子Timothy合力釀造, 1981年在加州葡萄酒拍賣會上, 一箱叫價24,000美元, 價格在當時創下新高。為突顯美法合作, 酒名用上兩國語言都易懂好唸的拉丁文”Opus”命名, 取名為第一樂章 “Opus One”

[US x France – Opus One]

Founded in 1978, Opus One is a collaboration between Mouton Rothschild, one of the top five Bordeaux wineries, and Robert Mondavi of Napa. The first vintage, 1979, was co-produced by Mouton winemaker Lucien Sionneau and Robert Mondavi's son, Timothy. At the California wine auction in 1981, a case was bided at USD24,000, and the price hit the highest record at that time. In order to highlight the cooperation between the United States and France, wine was named by a Latin word "Opus", which is easy to understand in both languages.
