"Fine Champagne Magazine" announced in 2009 the results of the International Champagne Blind Tasting held earlier in the same year. The result surprises a lot of wine experts. Among more than 1000 champagnes, Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Gold Brut won with a total score of 96 points. The second was Dom Perignon 2000, the fourth was Cristal 2002, and the sixth was Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill 1998. The evaluation process is extremely rigorous. If the difference between the two judges ’scores for the same champagne exceeds four points, they need to be re-evaluated. Although the scores of the first few are quite close, Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Gold Brut is on the throne.
